John Sivley, LCSW, CAC, CEAP, BCD
John S. Sivley is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with fifteen years of experience in providing individual, couples, family and group therapy for children, adolescents, and adults.
Prior to joining Riegler Shienvold and Associates in 2007, Mr. Sivley was an outpatient therapist at Philhaven Behavioral Healthcare Services for eleven years.
Education
Bachelor of Arts degree from James Madison University, Master of Social Work, Norfolk State University. Additionally, Mr. Sivley earned a Master of Divinity degree from the University of the South. He is a Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC), and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP), and a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work of the American Board of Examiners.
Area of Emphasis
His practice involves children, adolescents, and adults and includes the evaluation and treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, school related issues, social skill development, depression, anxiety disorders, adjustment disorders, relationship issues, family discord, parent child issues, abuse (physical/sexual) HIV/AIDS, substance abuse issues, geriatric issues, medical issues, men’s issues, and grief counseling. In addition, Mr. Sivley provides Critical Incident Stress Debriefings for businesses and organizations.
